Like just about everyone I know, I am not happy with the way that 2008 turned out. The reason that this was such a disappointing year was because regardless of how hard all of us worked, as a result of the struggling economy, just about everyone took hits to their personal wealth. On top of that, so many people lost their jobs, and even if you didn’t personally find yourself in this situation, knowing multiple people who are struggling will not do much to lift your spirits.
Although it wasn’t easy, we all made it through 2008, and that is why I am so optimistic about this year. We all proved that we can make it through the hardest of times, and I think it is this exact spirit that will get us back to a good place.
To help focus myself for this year, I am actually taking a trip to Puerto Rico before the end of January. I think that by clearing my head, I will be able to set myself up for a very successful year.
