Although you probably aren’t at that point yet (since the holidays gave us all a nice break and the New Year is just getting under way), there will probably come a time at some point during this year when you have accumulated so much stress on your shoulders that you no longer feel like you can handle it. I knew this feeling quite well, because it was only about eight months ago when I was feeling that exact same way. I honestly didn’t know what I was going to do to get my stress down and get myself back on track, so I decided to do something that I wasn’t completely sure would work; I went away.
When my stress hit this unmanageable level, I fired up my computer one day at work, and started looking through all of the travel deals that were available. I eventually came across one for Puerto Rico, and after seeing that it included everything I needed (hotel, flight, rental car) for a five day trip, I booked it right away.
Fortunately, this was an excellent decision, and this trip was actually what I needed to clear my head and make my life feel manageable once again when I returned.
